Got the Fried Shrimp and Fried Oyster baskets to go. So good!. Huge shrimp, butterflied and fried to perfection. The Oysters were perfectly crispy and the portions generous. It was all fried fresh and the service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend Deanies for fried seafood platters. Yum.

The bbq shrimp were big. I dunno if those are Louisiana, but the biggest size shimp youll find at the grocery store were these sized. They also were cooked in a good bit of oil. I needed alot of napkins. But sucking the head of these shrimp was good. the bisque was flavorful and the stuffed crab looks good . I recommend

This place was recommended to me by my Lyft driver and I can say it did not disappoint. The oysters were super delicious and my favorite dish of my trip to New Orleans. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The stuffed oysters were OK, a little spicey for me and I didn't eat much of it. But that's my fault for not inquiring beforehand. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I just dined at Deanie's and I just ordered the Shrimp etouffee and what a delight. Flavor is spot on I loved it! Definitely worth checking out to get a feel of the New Orleans cuisines. Our waiter, Brian was great as well. He was friendly attentative and professional No complaints here!.

I had a nice time there, I had 2 Soft Shell crab in a basket, I only ate one of them, it had to much black pepper on one of them, but I ate it anyway.The bartender was very nice, Mr Raah, I think that was his name. Goodnight 😊😴

Excellent seafood (as you'd hope), and we had very pleasant service. We tried the charbroiled oysters, the stuffed crab basket, and the crawfish bisque, all of which were very good.Also they bring you small baked potatoes instead of bread to start, and those were awesome! They were perfectly cooked and had a tiny dusting of the boil seasoning. Yum!

This place definitely gives you a bang for your buck. Most things you can share or have enough for lunch and dinner. The service here was a little slow but they were very nice and so it's a big deal.

Fresh oysters and shrimp. Glad they sold the oysters individually and not by the pound. Big and plump. So good we went back another night to enjoy.

Restaurant was clean, food was very good and fresh. But everything to top it off was our waiter Eric. He was probably the best waiter i’ve ever had. He was respectful, funny, and on top of everything. He made it such a good experience.

The food was good. Customer service excellent, we were just expecting a little more upscale. Our error. Pretty much fried good but delicious fried food. The fresh shrimp was the best and onion rings to die for. Guess would have rated 5 if a little more restaurant seating. Glad we stopped for sure.

Do not eat here or support this business!! I ordered a drink and it was nasty! They would not change or exchange it but I was told to “JUST DEAL WITH IT” and that I would still be responsible for paying for a dink that wasn’t drinkable! I will not give my money to a restaurant that is rude to its customers. The food here is normally great but this will be my last time eating here!

Our service was a young guy that was waiting on tables by himself. He had at least 4 tables in 30 mins and never complained. A female employee on the other hand was one of the most rudest people I have encountered. Apparently they were under staff but instead of taking up with management she reflected that energy on the guests. More than one party left the restaurant because of her. By my table being the first table our food and service was find.

Massive portions. Great potatoes and fries! Wish the shrimp po'boy had a little more flavor in the sauce, but was still delicious!

Food is so good! Cheesecake is delicious! Our server was not so great, we had one refill when we had finished our meal, our server was busy chatting with the cooks, kept forgetting what we asked for while she passed us ... but overall place clean manager was able to assist us.

Great value. Delicious fresh seafood. I had the crab boil special. 6 crabs, corn and a large beer for $16. Took me an hour to eat. Side salad with fig vinaigrette (supplement) was really good.

Desperate for crawfish and I walk into this place. Modern but with a slight fisherman's feel. They had what I was looking for! It was well seasoned and priced reasonably. I had the crawfish, my brother got the shrimp and we had potatoes for starters (which are free!!). If I'm ever back in that area I won't hesitate to stop by again.

Food tastes great customer service great. THIS was an overall AWESOME experience with my mom. SHE couldn't TALK without saying MMMMMM....THANK YOU for kicking off MY 50th cruise to Belize!!!!

Fantastically friendly staff, Tia took great care of us. They have great crawfish and the po-boys are massive!! They also give out delicious potatoes that are not like anything I've had before.

2.5 stars. Orieel from VIP tours mentioned this place. I ordered the jambalaya which came out hot on the outside and cold in the middle. They put it back on the microwave to warm it more according to the waitress. Definitely not fresh.

Average seafood for me and guest. Shrimp were seasoned well however the catfish needed seasoning assistance and less time in fry mode. The other food was average. I will return as this was my first visit and will return to do additional taste testing.

Overpriced for what this is. I would say it is very much in line with new Orleans hamburger and seafood co. But probably actually a little worse food quality.

Hot fresh fried seafood good size portions at a great price

I got the combo platter. I was told my good had been sitting for a while before I actually received it, but it was still hot and fresh. I have no complaints over all.

The food AND service were AWESOME!!! A colleague recommended Deanie's and I see why!!I rarely have appetizers, entrees and dessert BUT we couldn't say no to the great staff. EVERYTHING was delicious!! It was the 👌choice for our first night in NOLA😋

Oh my gosh Wonderful! Tyler and Rah were outstanding. The food was amazing.

Walked in and the very rude bartender turned to her coworker and said “aren’t we closing at 3” while there were still quite a few tables in there. We were a party of 6 and were very happy to take our business elsewhere so we left. :) learn some better manners and customer service skills

This is another great Deanies location for tasty fried seafood. We went at an off hour so seating was no problem. This restaurant has counter seating and tables. There is also an upstairs that was closed when we visited. The seafood platter was perfect and the crawfish balls are delicious. Everything was perfectly fried. The service was friendly and attentive

Everything was great! Service was very nice and helped a lot since we had 2 little ones. Food came quick and was very good. We had the seafood platter and it was fried to perfection. Most places over cook when frying and it dries out. Deanie's did it right! Would definitely come back and will recommend!

The servings sizes and food quality were great. Normally I can put down some food but I still had plenty for leftovers the next day and the catfish tasted just as good reheated in the oven as freshly fried. The wait staff were great and our waitress was very attentive to us, one of our friends had an upset stomach/nausea and the waitress came and checked on her regularly making sure she and the rest of us were okay. The waitress also gave several good drink suggestions which we did not time to try that evening but sounded great!

Magazine Location-Terrible service. Ordered shrimp and okra gumbo. Was sent the chicken and sausage gumbo. When I did receive the correct order it was cold, 2 tiny shrimp and zero okra. Staff seemed more into their phones/personal conversations than customers. Asked for bread pudding as a "to go" order, silly me didn't look inside the box, given cheesecake instead. Two out of three things ordered were wrong. Overall, low quality food, chain restaurant-like feeling, bad customer service. In a city full of restaurants choose somewhere else to spend your money.

Excellent seafood! However I’m giving it 3 stars because the owner (Short lady with short black hair) is rude as hell. My husband orders the seafood platter once a week. The owner never acknowledges you or helps you unless you are white. She will walk pass you multiple times , looks right past you, says nothing , and leaves you at the counter. The only reason we still go there is because of the chefs and other workers who do a great job tending to your needs. For $40 a platter every week, Mizz lady, owner you need to do a better job at customer service. You have a mixed staff act better to others, other than white people . All people matter! Not just you.

Man if you ever in the N.O. you got to eat here ...the food is great and the cheese cake is the 💣...good prices great food will return ...

So, we were vacationing and picked this place becuase it looked nice and menu looked good. The staff was very friendly and we had the half seafood feast and could not finish it between the two of us. It was as delicious as it was large.

Social distancing is available and the food was okay. A seafood platter cost me 79 bucks, and it was worth about half that💁🏾‍♀️

Great ambiance and menu selection. I recommend splitting the half platter for two people. It was more than enough food. Ice cold beers were perfect. Service was great too!

Came to pick up the half dozen crab special after someone with an employee on the phone who advised me at 8:47 pm to come into the Magazine location before close. It “didn’t make sense to place the order I would just pick up the special as long as I arrived before close (9 pm). An older gentleman advise me that the kitchen was closed upon my arrival at 8:56 and no more orders would be taken. As someone who worked in the food industry I know that it’s poor practice to shut down before actual closing hours and the inability of the restaurant to keep its own word was the most disappointing part. I wouldn’t have shown up if you would have given accurate information when I called.

Terrific location for seafood restaurant. Reasonable prices with large menu. Service was friendly however wait for food was excessive. Nearly 30 min for a fried basket. It was the first week so we'll probably give it a second chance.

Great spot for some local New Orleans seafood!!! Fun environment, it was laid back with no pretentious vibes. The servers were friendly and always checked on us. The food was delicious and well priced. The beers were big, as usual inNOLA. I would certainly go back. There are multiple locations I was told this was one was the best. Cheers!

First time eating at this Deanies location, there's one by the lake on lake Avenue. This place is amazing and always has been! Excellent for anything to do with seafood! Always fresh food and friendly staff. There's outdoor seating and a 2nd floor area. Handicap accessible entrance and restrooms available here. Will return and always recommend to anyone looking for a good New Orleans seafood experience!

Great fried seafood. The half platter fed my husband (a big eater), myself, and our 2 kids (13 girl and 7 boy). We even took a little bit home!

Food was excellent, but the wait between when we were seated and when we actually got our food was a bit longer than we would've liked (hence 4 instead of 5). We suspect it's because there were only two servers managing maybe twenty tables upstairs (yikes). Even the manager was out on the floor a bit. He personally checked in on us a few times, which was nice. Everyone was very friendly, and we felt like they really were trying their best to take care of their guests while being short-staffed. Further, the manager gave us free dessert and brought us a side item to go that hadn't made it to the table during our meal (didn't charge for it either). So all in all a good experience and would go back (: thank you for taking care of us!

OMG....There's not enough I can say about this place. The food & service was AWESOME!!EVERYTHING FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!!!!And to say everything was fried, u couldn't tell it had even touched any grease. Seasoned to perfection & it did the job with my hangover from the night before on Bourbon st.😃.......I will definitely be back to eat there on my next trip to New Orleans 😍😍👌👌
